Standard Policies

Booking & Payment Policies


To secure your date and time, a non-refundable retainer of 40% of your session total is required at the time of booking. This retainer serves as your session fee and will be applied to your total balance. The remaining balance is due by 10AM a week before your scheduled session or event.


Please note that your date and time are only confirmed once the session fee retainer has been received.



Expedited Booking 

Sessions or events that are scheduled within 7 days of booking will inquire a fee that is 15% of your total package price. 


The full balance for these sessions/ events types are also due at the time signing the contract. 


Sessions / Events that amount to  $250 or less are due in full at the time for booking.



Sessions or Events booked 7 days or less will incur a last-minute booking fee of 15% of your total package price to ensure we can provide the high-quality service your special day deserves.

All sessions conducted within a studio will inquire a $50 fee. This fee can be waived if the client wishes to have their session in their home (or other accessible location) or outdoors. 




We are based in Newark New Jersey

Extra Location within 2 mile radius $35

Outside of 3 miles (up to 10 miles) $75


Event Photography 

Outside of 2 miles (up to 8 miles) from Newark, NJ - $35 miles 

Outside of 3 miles  (up to 15 miles within New Jersey) - $75



You have a 10-minute grace period to arrive at your session. After 10 minutes, a $55 late fee will apply.

 

If you are 30 minutes late, the session will be automatically canceled.


If your session is canceled due to tardiness, your retainer can be transferred to a new date, with a $55 late fee added to your balance. You must notify us within 3 days of your original session date to reschedule.


If you do not show up for a session without prior communication, the full session fee plus the late fee will be due and is nonrefundable. To reschedule, a new session fee must be paid to secure a new date and time.


Refunds are not permitted, however if the client is unsatisfied with the results from their session, a reshoot may be considered. The client must notify us within 48 hours of receiving their gallery to be eligible for a reshoot. The shoot must also be rescheduled within 30 days, unless otherwise notified.


EVENTS ONLY

I understand that plans can change unexpectedly, including due to weather for outdoor events.

  • Cancellations: If you need to cancel for any reason other than weather, you may reschedule for a future date (subject to my availability) if you provide at least 14 days notice. Cancellations made within less than 14 days will forfeit the retainer, and a new retainer will be required to book another date.
  • Weather-related Cancellations: If severe weather impacts your outdoor event and you don’t have a backup plan, we can reschedule for a future date without penalty, based on my availability. If you choose not to reschedule, 30% of your retainer will be refunded. 


Within 24 hours of your session, you will receive a link to select the final photos for editing. Turnaround time begins once we are notified of your choices. Additional photos or expedited turnaround times can be purchased upon request.

  • Standard turnaround time for portrait and family sessions is 10 days.
  • For events, you will receive your  images within 10 days, depending on your package.


Expedited turnaround times will attract the following fees: (Portrait & Families Only)

5 day turnaround $79

3 day turnaround $129



Digitals by Demi Photography retains full copyright ownership of all images captured during the session or event.  This includes the right to use, reproduce, and distribute the images for our brand purposes, including website usage, social media sharing, and advertising.


Clients agree not to alter the photos in any way, including adding filters or modifications. Clients may request their photos be resized or adjusted to specific aspect ratios for social media or framing purposes.


We respect your privacy and understand if you prefer not to have your photos shared online. If you wish to keep your images private, we offer a privacy option for an additional fee. Please discuss this option with us, and we will provide you with the details and cost.


By opting for this service, your photos will not be posted on our website, social media, or used in any advertising materials.


Portrait Photography 

Your portrait photos will receive a standard professional color grade and a basic retouch which includes removing any blemishes, whiting teeth/eyes, make up corrections, clothing adjustments, backdrop color changes etc. 


Additional edits may be purchased such as a high retouch which gives your skin that magazine airbrushed look. 


You may also purchase creative edits if you have a vision in mind for your photos. 


Event Photography

Your event photos will receive a standard professional color grade which adjusts the color & lightening so that your photos look the best. Distraction free editing may be purchased which can remove blemishes, whiten teeth, correct hair, lace or clothing and/ or removing unwanted items/people from photos. 


Please note that purchasing more than 3 images with additional edits outside of your photo package may increase the turnaround time slightly as this edit requires more time.
